I am thinking of a journey to the most fascinating place in Scottish medieval history, Dunnottar Castle. This medieval fortress which is known as “fort on the shelving slope” has believed to have been around the 15th-16th century era. It has survived the dark ages and 2 world wars. It was a real big advantage in Scotland’s history as it overlooked the shipping lanes to northern Scotland. Also being close to the shore it allowed shipments of goods to be imported very easily and it was difficult for enemies to plan an attack.

There is plenty more to this fantastic piece of medieval history and I am sure people who share the same interests as I do will also like to explore Dunnottar Castle in more detail and know it will be one of the most fascinating Tours of Scotland.
